Spoilers for Stuart fails to save the universe episode 1 coming soon.
Stuart fails to save the universe episode 1 is here and is now available to stream worldwide on HBO Max.
In short, our “starting” versions of Stuart (Kevin Sussman), Denise (Lauren Lapkus), Kripke (John Ross Bowie) and Bert (Brian Posehn) live in a reality close to The Walking Deadsupplemented by Mad Max-apocalyptic-style outposts and wasps that are the size of cars.
Stuart accidentally unleashed this multiverse Armageddon after breaking a device supposedly built by Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki).
Shortly after Kripke, the leader of this universe, is confronted by the rest of the group, we encounter our first secret. TBBT cameo: Raj (Kunal Nayyar). He essentially became a doomsday prepper, working on plans on a blackboard for how to operate the device and get out of dodge.
But just as quickly as we met him, Raj is killed while the others teleport safely to… well, hopefully, a better place. It’s a bold move and one that shocked fans if social media is anything to go by.
However, we were so caught up in Raj’s death that we failed to take in one major detail… it didn’t really happen at all.
Only one version of Raj is now dead… and it’s definitely not the one from The Big Bang Theory

Have you forgotten? This is just one version of Raj in one universe, which means there are still an infinite number of Rajs to find.
As none of the versions of the characters we meet are actually the ones seen in TBBToriginal Raj is safe in California and doing some scientific equations in peace (probably).
This doesn’t even rule out Raj reappearing later in Stuart fails to save the universe. Now that we know he’s a confirmed appearance for the HBO Max spinoff, it would be foolish not to use him again when possible. With an overarching narrative so difficult to predict, the possibilities are endless.
At least that now means we’ll probably see more TBBT which cast members have appeared in other episodes, and whether or not they are killed off. However, it’s anyone’s guess who these cameos might be.
What we know for Episodes 2-10 is pretty minimal, but the preview below gives us the slightest idea of what to expect. Strap in, that’s all I’m saying.
