But after years of editing and organizing my life—and lots of trial and error—my biggest lesson for those curious about minimalism is this: Minimalism, especially when it comes to style and beauty, isn’t about copying a specific look. It’s about finding out what works for you and coming back to it again and again.

First comes the slightly intimidating part: letting go of products you no longer need. The good news? The energy of spring, with its built-in feeling of reset, makes it the perfect time for a beauty declutter.
I like to start by moving everything from my vanity to one place where I can see everything at once. From there I start editing.
