The recent publication of Graves of the Great and Famous (Amber Books) by Alastair Horne offers "a world tour of the resting places of artists, thinkers, scientists, sportsmen, revolutionaries, politicians and leading pioneers".

What makes the tome particularly intriguing is the wide variety of burial sites explored.
