These photographers are proving they don't need all the colors of the rainbow heaven to create truly mesmerizing work.< /p>

Their photography was honored at the 2022 Black and White Photo Awards, a photography competition that provides a platform for "amazing" monochrome photography around the world.

The competition, now in its first year, welcomed photographic submissions in five categories: landscape , architecture, street, portrait, and wildlife.

A mesmerizing image of a silverback mountain gorilla in Uganda, an atmospheric image of a a well-trodden path in the Peak District and a romantic shot of light spilling over a meadow in the Dolomites were among the photographs that impressed the jury.

However, it's an adorable photo of a cheetah surrounded by its box y cubs, trapped by Belgian photographer Johan Willems, which reigns supreme overall, winning the grand prize of £873 (€1,000).< /p>
