Versatile Delray Rawlins extends contract at Sussex

The 25-year-old helped the Sharks reach the semi-finals of the One-Day Cup this year, recording the best A-list results with bat and ball.

"I hope that I can go back next year and produce even bigger numbers for the team," he said.

The Bermudian left arm made his debut in 2017 after coming through the club's academy system on a scholarship to Bede's School in East Sussex.

Rawlins scored 91 on just 62 balls against Gloucestershire and posted 3-22 numbers against Leicestershire with his finger spin.< /p >

"Obviously I've been here my whole career pr professional and I look forward to building on the good things we've done this summer," he said.

"This I've been working on some aspects of my game and I'm happy with the progress, so hopefully I can do it again next year and produce bigger numbers for the team."< /p>

Having played for Sussex in all formats this summer, he added: "I enjoy my role within of the team, even though I'm only 25, the added responsibility has helped my game."

The length of Rawlins' contract extension is undisclosed.
