Angelina Jolie accuses Brad Pitt of abuse on a private plane

Angel Lina Jolie has filed court documents accusing ex-husband Brad Pitt of drunkenly assaulting her and their children on a private plane flight, prompting her to file for divorce.

In a lawsuit over a French winery the stars bought, Ms Jolie says Mr Pitt grabbed her by the head and attacked two of their children during the 2016 trip.

Mr. Pitt also verbally abused and poured alcohol on her family during the flight from France to Los Angeles, she said.

He denies the allegations.

A source close to the actor told the BBC that Ms. Jolie's claims were false.

"She keeps rehashing, revising and reinventing her description of an event that happened six years ago adding completely false information every time she fails to get this whatever she wants," the source said. "Her story is constantly evolving."

Ms. Jolie's allegation of Mr. Pitt's abusive behavior during the September 14, 2016 robbery has emerged in documents previous court cases, including the Oscar-winning former couple's divorce settlement.

But new details were alleged in Tuesday's Los Angeles filing by Ms Jolie's legal team. This is part of an ongoing lawsuit regarding Château Miraval SA, a house and vineyard in the south of France that the former Hollywood couple acquired together.

Mr. Pitt maintains that he and his ex-wife had agreed not to sell their shares in the venue without each other's permission.

Ms Jolie disputes this and blames Mr. Pitt for ending negotiations over the purchase of his shares in the property.
