Is the surge in lettuce prices in Victoria justifiable?
Mornington Peninsula organic lettuce grower Natasha Shields is bamboozled that lettuce prices are skyrocketing, considering she hasn't put her prices up in seven years.
"We've had the same pricing on our lettuces for probably seven or eight years," Ms Shields told ABC Radio Melbourne hosts Matt Preston and Alice Zaslavsky.
Ms Shields runs Peninsula Fresh Organics and grows "iceberg, cos, baby cos and other lettuce varieties" on her farms at Barham on the NSW-Victoria border and the Mornington Peninsula.
