Argentine Freemasons want to put NFTs to philanthropic work New

The Argentine Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons is getting into non-fungible tokens (NFTs), but with a philanthropic twist. The secret society is releasing 77 digital art NFTs under the CryptoMasons name, with proceeds going to local charities supported by the chapter.

According to the announcement, this is the first official NFT project supported by a local Grand Lodge. A Masonic Grand Lodge is the governing body of a given group of fraternal Freemasons in a specific region. Although this project comes from an Argentinian subsidiary, there are hundreds of them around the world.

The collection contains esoteric imagery linked to Masonic history and traditions, such as black and white checkered floors and the infamous square and compass symbol. Even the specific number of 77 NFTs available corresponds to a significant number in occultist traditions and spirituality.
