Said Henry Siebert-Saunders, Ariel Director, "We continue to strive to evolve the Atom as the ultimate driver's car, whether on the road or on the track. The 4R follows the footsteps of the incredible Atom 3.5R and further drives the story forward. It really is an amazing car that we are justly proud of."

Thanks to an all-new cooling and intercooler system, the turbocharged Honda engine in the Civic Type R delivers approximately 25% more power and torque than the standard engine at 400hp and 500 Nm. The increase not only in power but also in torque gives the Atom 4R spectacular acceleration times and on-track performance, always associated with legendary Ariel and Honda reliability. The turbo boost is switchable between three positions.

New air intake geometry, redesigned cooling system and an additional cooling radiator in the left side module have increased engine cooling by 55%, allowing Ariel to extract more engine power. The right-side module houses a larger air-to-air intercooler increasing the intercooling area by 75%, maintaining intake and engine temperatures even under hard track use.

You can find more information about the new Ariel Atom 4R on the Ariel website, pricing for the car starts at £64,950 before tax or VAT.
