Arsenal boss Arteta answers question on Tielemans transfer rumors

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has remained coy on reports that he would like to sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans this summer.

The Gunners are still looking to sign another midfielder this summer as they have already brought Fabio Vieira to the club from Portuguese champions Porto.

They have been associated with several names, including AC Milan's Ismael Bennacer, the latest, while Leicester's Tielemans remains perhaps the most mentioned.

Arsenal and Manchester United have a lot to learn because selling well separates the best from the rest

Reports have recently claimed that Tielemans has already agreed personal terms in principle with Arsenal and it is now up to the Gunners to make a bid for the Foxes midfielder.

Arsenal have already signed Gabriel Jesus, Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos this summer, while Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez is seen as a serious target.

When asked if the club were still active in the market after their 5-3 victory against Nuremberg on Friday, Arteta said: "There are more things we would like to do if we can, but the market will dictate what we can do, but so far we are happy with what we have done.”

When asked specifically about Tielemans, he added: "We never talk about players who are not ours.

"As I said before, we can improve the team, we are still in the market and we will try to do it, but we will not go to specific names."

Jesus scored twice against Nuremberg and Arteta has praised the new signing's attitude since making a move from Manchester City.

Arteta said: "He's all about energy. You see his enthusiasm, he's always smiling, he's always talking to his teammates and apart from that I think he brings a different level of desire, commitment and enthusiasm, so I think that's really good.

"That's why we brought him here. To put the ball in the back of the net and obviously for his confidence and for him to believe in what we're doing, I think that's really important and he installed very well.

"I know him very well because I've worked with him before and I know there won't be any problems there."
