Arsenal confirm Rice, Fabinho set for Liverpool exit, Lukaku to Inter OFF, and more: The Daily Transfer Round Up - Saturday July 15

Arsenal confirm Rice signing

Arsenal have finally confirmed they have completed the signing of Declan Rice from West Ham.

Some reports suggest the fee the Gunners will pay for the England international's services could be as high as £128m, but others say that's still the amount originally agreed between the clubs, £100m pounds plus £5 million in add-ons.

The completion of the transfer took longer than expected and a number of Arsenal supporters were concerned about a possible 11th-hour abandonment as reports claimed the Hammers were eager to do so in order that they can look for a replacement, but now it's done.

Declan Rice becomes Arsenal's third signing this summer, following the arrivals of Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.

Fabinho ruled out of pre-season camp as Liverpool exit looms

Liverpool have reportedly received the expected £40m offer from Al-Ittihad for Fabinho, and as a result, the Brazilian midfielder has been left out of the squad for his pre-training camp trip -season in Germany. Captain Jordan Henderson, who reportedly agreed terms with Steven Gerrard's Al-Etifaq, has on the other hand made the trip as the clubs remain locked in transfer fee negotiations.

The Merseysiders certainly hadn't expected Fabinho to leave before the start of the window, given he's been an important part of their squad and the 29-year-old has three years left on the contract. However, things have obviously changed, and after the acquisitions of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, they are highly expected to push for new signings in the middle of the park.

Potential targets would be Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch, Manchester City's Kalvin Phillips, Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat, as well as Southampton's Romeo Lavia. Brighton's Moises Caicedo is not on this list as the Seagulls are demanding £100m for the Ecuador international.

It seems Chelsea's talks with Juventus have angered the Champions League finalists so much that their interest in the Belgian striker has ceased to exist.

The options for the 30-year-old's future are, at this stage, Juventus or a club in Saudi Arabia.

Arsenal join the Lavia race?

Following the completion of Declan Rice's transfer, Arsenal plan to add another midfielder to their ranks if Thomas Partey leaves North London, and according to Ben Jacobs, they may decide to enter the race for Romeo Lavia from Southampton.

The 19-year-old is much admired by Liverpool and Chelsea, but neither of these potential suitors value the player at £50m, which is apparently the amount Saints would be willing to accept.
