Arsenal legend predicts Conte will choose Tottenham over Juventus in debate with reporter

Arsenal legend Martin Keown believes Antonio Conte will stay at Tottenham Hotspur beyond this season amid reports linking him with Juventus.

Conte previously managed Juventus for three years between 2011 and 2014. He led them to three Serie A titles during that time.

The respected manager also spent most of his playing career with the Italian side.

He has since enhanced his reputation during his tenure as Premier League manager.

Conte won the league title and the FA Cup with Chelsea and he led Tottenham Hotspur into the top four last season.

His future at Spurs, however, remains uncertain as his current contract is due to expire at the end of this season.

He never stays at the clubs for too long and his contract situation has fueled rumors that he could return to Juventus in the near future.

The Turin-based team endure a difficult campaign under Massimiliano Allegri. They sit eighth in Serie A and are expected to leave the Champions League in the group stages.

Spurs, meanwhile, have been doing well this season under Conte, but have suffered defeats in recent weeks against Arsenal and Man Utd.

They are third in the Premier League having played one game more than most teams around them.

The Londoners are also top of a tight Group D in the Champions League. TalkSPORT reporter Alex Crook has now predicted that Conte will return to Juventus ahead of next season.

"I think there is every chance that Antonio Conte will return to Juventus," Crook said on talkSPORT.

To which Keown replied: "Tottenham came into the game with Manchester United with the same record as Manchester City - seven wins.

"And everyone says Conte has problems."

Crook then fired back: "I'm not saying Conte is going to get fired, I'm saying I think he will eventually come back to Juventus.

"He has not committed to a new long-term contract and that is a problem for Tottenham."

Keown added, "Well, not really. That's how he works, he's always worked that way. And he's a successful man.

"And I feel like they could finish in the top four."

When asked if that would be enough for Conte, Keown said, "I think it would almost be a win to do it again."

Crook then claimed that Conte would immediately win trophies if he returned to Juventus. This led Keown to say: "There is a lot of work to do at Juventus if he returns.

"He took half the team to Spurs right now anyway!"
