Arsenal linked with two-goal Champions League striker as Martinelli gets 'huge' boost

Arsenal are top of the Premier League and stealing. That should help them sign a hot Spanish striker and keep Gabriel Martinelli.

ARSENAL LINKED TO SPANISH FORWARD You may not know the name yet, but you will soon: Ferran Jutglà joined Club Brugge this summer for pennies from Barcelona after failing to break through in Spain.

But six goals and three assists in the Belgian league later, and Jutglà is hot property, with his two Champions League goals - against Porto and Atletico Madrid - making it half of Europe's sit down and take note.

todofichajes claim that chief among their suitors is Arsenal, who will be very happy to hear the striker is available for less than £9m.

MARTINELLI IN LINE FOR 'HUGE' SALARY RISEEven before tearing up Trent Alexander-Arnold on another Sunday afternoon, Gabriel Martinelli was off to a phenomenal start to the season. He now has four goals and two assists in his nine Premier League appearances and has become the scourge of right-backs.

There was talk last week that Chelsea are interested in Martinelli, but now Football Insider claim that 'Arsenal are in advanced talks to agree a new contract with Gabriel Martinelli' and that this new deal would see him s contract with the Gunners until 2026 and would include a 'huge' pay rise.

Perhaps Arsenal won't have to sell a player to challenge for the top of the table after all.

CHELSEA LOOKING AT MOUNT ALTERNATIVES The Daily Telegraph admits Mason Mount is likely to stay at Chelsea - he 'has a full season left on his current terms and is expected to extend but that could take time, with talks starting over the summer and not yet agreed" - yet they claim the club have considered alternatives to the Englishman should he choose not to renew.

These alternatives would be Roma's Lorenzo Pellegrini and Villarreal's Yéremy Pino. The former has been heavily linked with Liverpool and Tottenham in recent years, while the latter is just 19 and is said to cost 'over £40million'. But we don't really know why this is an open discussion when we really don't see Mount choosing not to stay at Chelsea.

BARCELONA TARGET NEVES AGAINST CONTRECOEUR“Martín Zubimendi was the midfielder chosen by Xavi Hernández and Barça's technical management to replace Sergio Busquets next season,” is Sport's opening line, with the player of Real Sociedad clearly considered the chosen one. But Zubimendi - who has just one cap for Spain - is in no rush and is happy to stay with his club.

So "Ruben Neves is the other candidate, even if Xavi is less convinced by his technical performance". It doesn't look like they're very interested, but we imagine Neves would jump at the chance anyway.
