Avatar Generations Launches ATLA Mobile RPG Gameplay

Avatar Generations, a free-to-play mobile RPG adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, gives fans their first look at the title's gameplay. The player will retrace the steps of the original show by building and improving their team, exploring the Four Nations and mastering the elements.

While the original show Avatar: The Last Airbender will serve as the setting, Avatar Generations encourages players to customize their own experience. Players can add familiar faces to their team as both heroes and support companions. The game rewards exploration and building strong team synergy.

In addition to featuring lore from the original show, Avatar Generations plans to adapt content about past and future avatars. Crystal Dynamics publisher Eidos Entertainment has confirmed that the sequel series' protagonist Korra will be making an appearance. Avatar Generations will also be able to draw from multiple franchise novels and comics featuring Aang, Korra, and their past lives.

Netflix's next live-action adaptation of the series Avatar: The Last Airbender is set to release later this year. However, it's unclear if there will be any cross-promotions with Avatar Generations given the potentially messy relationship between Netflix and the original ATLA showrunners. Paramount also has several Avatar projects underway, including an upcoming sequel series to Korra.

Avatar Generations is due out in early 2023. Players can pre-register here to get The Last Airbender Aang Hero and companion Appa Support among other exclusive bonuses.
