Devastated parents have paid tribute to their 'perfect' baby boy who choked to death while in nursery.

Last week, Zoey and Lewis Steeper welcomed a baby boy, Jake Oliver Steeper, named after her older brother who died in tragic circumstances.

Little Jake was born at a healthy weight of 8lb 4oz.

Oliver Steeper was only nine months old when he tragically died after choking on food at nursery in September 2021.

Oliver was left on life support and died of a heart attack and brain damage, an inquest found, six days later in hospital.

The investigation has been put on hold while authorities investigate.

His parents, Zoey, 32, and Lewis, 37, were later told that criminal charges against the nursery would not be pursued.

They asked the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to review the decision.

Kent Police said they had carried out a "thorough investigation" before confirming that no further action would be taken.

The nursery has since closed after the traumatic incident.
