BAFTA Changes Film Awards Venue, Opens 2023 Entries, Promises 'Refresh Production and Format'

After six years at London's Royal Albert Hall, the EE BAFTA Film Awards are changing venues across the city ​​for the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre, which also hosts the BAFTA TV and Games Awards.

The venue is located in the heart of London on the River Thames, close to sights such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the National Theatre, the BFI and the London Eye. In recent years, the Royal Festival Hall has become the flagship venue for the BFI London Film Festival's red carpet galas. "The move will see BAFTA schedule its most ambitious and accessible night yet, bolstered by a refreshed production and format," the organization said.

Registration is now open for the 2023 awards, which will be presented on February 19, 2023. The ceremony will be streamed on BBC One, BBC One HD, BBCiPlayer and streamed worldwide.
