Beau Afraid Poster Teases Ari Aster's Joaquin Phoenix-Led A24 Film

A24 has unveiled the first official poster for Beau Afraid, Ari Aster's upcoming horror comedy starring Joaquin Phoenix. It should arrive in theaters next year.

The Handsome is Afraid poster features a boy wearing gray pajamas who appears to be a young version of the Phoenix character. Further character and plot details are still being kept under wraps.

The film is written and directed by Ari Aster. This is the filmmaker's third directing project with A24 after previously working on two acclaimed films: 2018's Hereditary with Toni Collette and 2019's Midsommar with Florence Pugh.

Beau is Afraid (formerly titled Disappointment Blvd.) is said to be an intimate, decades-long portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.
