Betsey Johnson celebrates her 80th birthday and a new collection in Hollywood

Betsey Johnson turned 80 on August 10, but the moment to mark her milestone birthday came Tuesday night at a party she threw in Hollywood.

Held at Lombardi House - a restored Victorian farmhouse built in 1904 - it was also the occasion to present its latest line, the "80th Birthday Collection". Drawing from his archive, including ready-to-wear and accessories, Johnson told WWD it's his "greatest hits album and his love letter" to his past designs. p>

The event featured "Euphoria" actress Chloe Cherry, as well as actress Larsen Thompson; influencer Benny Drama; models Charlotte McKinney, Joy Corrigan, Carmella Rose and "Rupaul's Drag Race" contestant Gottmik, the performer of the evening.

Many of the guests wore pieces from the collection, floral bodycon dresses and 80s tulle tutu skirts. Johnson had a look done with a Halloween-inspired spider pattern and boots to match.< /p>

The residence has been transformed into Johnson's universe: a playful, kitsch space filled with pink with a shiny '60s-style trailer as the centerpiece - an ode to his former mobile home near Paradise Cove in Malibu, California .

"This is a huge achievement in my life, and I can't believe I've made it this far," Johnson said of her birthday. "I live every day to the fullest and have never felt so beautiful, energetic and optimistic about the future. I can't wait another 80 years."
