Striim, headquartered in California, which offers a SaaS (software as a service) platform for real-time data integration and delivery, has joined the Databricks Technology Partner Program.

As part of the commitment, announced at the LDN Big Data Conference (London), the company will integrate its data streaming offering with Databricks, enabling businesses to access real-time data and take action accordingly from their Lakehouse infrastructure.

"We intentionally partner with technology providers such as Striim to enable our customers to accelerate their time to insight..." said Ariel Amster, Director of Strategic Technology Partners at Databricks. "We are thrilled to partner with Striim, providing our customers with access to a fully managed cloud service to seamlessly connect data from disparate databases, applications and clouds to Databricks in real time."

Built on open source technology, Databricks' Lakehouse combines the benefits of a data lake and a data warehouse and offers businesses the ability to build AI and analytics applications in addition to their data sets. Following integration with Striim, which has also announced its entry into the UK and EMEA regions, companies will be able to use Databricks' AI/ML solutions to build models that leverage real-time data and provide more accurate business forecasts.
