Big Zuu talks about breaking the cooking show mold

This is just one line from rapper, TV chef, actor and radio DJ Big Zuu's Baftas acceptance speech that went viral earlier this year.

Or should we say, one of his acceptance speeches. Dave's West London show Big Zuu's Big Eats actually picked up two TV Baftas.

For the uninitiated, Zuu (whose full name is Zuhair Hassan) plays alongside his childhood best friends Tubsey and Hyder as they cook up a storm of assorted dishes for a celebrity guest each week from their trailer kitchen.

Now in its third series, the show has grown since it first aired in 2020. While much of the show's appeal lies in the tempting dishes and comedic banter between the trio - and their guest guinea pigs - there's clearly a desire to push the envelope, too. p>

The show's three hosts are from refugee backgrounds, which Zuu also mentioned in his Bafta speech.
