Academico Viseu will travel to Penafiel on Saturday morning to extend their recent New Year's purple spot.

Starting with the hosts, although Penafiel could end up with a towering eight-point buffer to keep from slipping into the drop zone, they are in the midst of what has been a protracted struggle. With their recent purple spot highlighted by a 4-1 loss to Tondela earlier in the month, the Viseu-based outfit should be confident of putting down another marker here.
