“Our goal is to build a contemporary online city that is alive with communities of real players, and functions as its own society and economy,” said Paul Kurowski, product manager of Black Block. officer, in a press release. "These City Passes are a great opportunity to have a quick entry point into the experience, with access to perks and surprises down the line."

The Sprawl's newly created NFTs allow for priority access to the 2023 job avatar drop whitelist. It's also worth noting that one percent of the NFTs will be Platinum Passes. These rare NFTs include exclusive access to the first home sale. Owning a house in the city gives you a permanent address and voting rights in your neighborhood. Starting with 5 Pacific/8 Eastern on December 22, The Sprawl's private mint will be on the game's website, followed by a public mint shortly after.

In The Sprawl, you work, own homes, and help govern city districts.

"We created Black Block to push the boundaries of online open worlds, and we laser-focused on how player, ownership and governance-driven economies can impact these spaces from day one," said Black Block CEO Robin Squire. "This City Pass drop is our first step to realizing this vision on Web3 before providing our cardholders with a first glimpse of their digital identity and professional roles in 2023."
