Blue singer Lee Ryan has been found guilty of racially motivated assault on a cabin crew member.
Ryan, 39, had drunk a bottle of port in the airport lounge before boarding a British Airways flight from Glasgow at the airport of London City on July 31, Ealing Magistrates' Court heard.
A member of the flight crew said the pop star told him that wanted an upgrade and asked her if she knew who he was.
< p class="ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph eq5iqo00">Ryan, who denied all charges, said his behavior had been " playful".
The boyband star, who said he lives in Spain, was found guilty of being drunk on a plane, assaulting a police officer on the biting, racially aggravated simple assault by beating and behaving abusively towards the cabin crew member.
He must be sentenced on February 24.
After the hearing, members of the press saw Ryan, who was released on unconditional bail, running around an elementary school neighbor to avoid photographers.
