Boris Johnson claimed Larry the cat was "a bit of a thug" who "mutilated" his dog Dilyn.

The former prime minister said that Larry "takes a dim view" of anyone who tries to steal his food, and Dilyn has been caught several times by the infamous Downing Street mouser.

"Retaliation was terrible," added Mr Johnson.

In his latest Daily Mail column, the former Prime Minister gave answers to the questions he has been asked since This is what the late Queen was really like, followed by questions about Larry, Mr Johnson said. /p>

He added: “Larry, in my opinion, is a bit of a thug. I say this because our dog Dilyn has been to Larry's den several times, and Larry being away at the time Dilyn decided - quite naturally and reasonably - to eat his food. The reprisals were terrible.
