A man has been charged with manslaughter after he allegedly failed to get medical help for his son after he told him a snake had bitten him before he died.

11-year-old Tristian Frahm died on November 20, 2021 at a property in Queensland's South Burnett region, hours after telling his father that a snake had bitten him.

His father, Kerrod Frahm, 31, has been charged by police with manslaughter on charges of not taking his son seriously.

The charges stem from an investigation launched a year ago - Operation Uniform Pattern - to investigate the sudden death of Tristian.

Police allege following investigation that Frahm ignored calls for help from his son and did not seek medical attention, after Tristian told him a snake had bitten him as the couple visited a friend's property in Murgon, a small rural town north of Brisbane.

Father and son went to bed sometime after the son told his father about the bite.

His condition deteriorated rapidly, reported.

Tristian got up during the night to be sick, that's understood. The boy's lifeless body was found outside the next morning near a shed.

His devastated family remembers him as a 'little hero' and an 'angel' after his death, with loved ones sharing photos and videos of him ice skating and playing games .
