I'm A Celeb: Boy George talks about Matt's appearance on the show

Boy George dropped his old I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! fellow campmate Matt Hancock, who he claims lied to the British public and his co-stars.

The singer has slammed the Tory MP for claiming he took part in the ITV reality show for 'pardon' for his Covid rule breaches and political failures.

In an explosive new interview, Boy George said Hancock only wants to raise his profile and become a "rock star" in the eyes of fans.

After finishing third in the series, behind actor Owen Warner and lioness Jill Scott, the MP has so far announced his intention to quit politics and released a tell-all book about his life as secretary to Health during the pandemic and the exposure of his case.

The MP for West Suffolk and former Health Secretary had insisted his constituents were his 'first priority' when stepping into the jungle, saying the reality show would be an 'honest' way and unfiltered" to communicate with voters.

However, Karma Chameleon singer George, who originally argued with the former Health Secretary on the show, has now warned: "Don't believe anything he says about the reasons for which he did."

"He did it because he wants to kick his heels and have a good time," he told The Sun on Sunday.
