Boyd Holbrook Praises First Indiana Jones 5 Footage, Promises 'Badass' Movie

Next spring, 15 years after the polarizing 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull', Harrison Ford will be hitting cinema screens again with his signature fedora. In a new interview with , 'Indiana Jones 5' star Boyd Holbrook made it clear that the fans' excitement was warranted. The actor said he recently watched footage from the film with Mangold and was thrilled with what he saw.

"I can assure you it's going to be badass," Holbrook said. "I got to see that for half an hour when I went to L.A., and I saw Jim. You know, look at his work, 'Ford v Ferrari', it's gonna be fast, it's gonna be badass , and it's going to have heart. All of his movies have that emotional beat, but we've got that Indiana Jones big scale."

His comment echoes similar remarks from his 'Indiana Jones 5' co-star Mads Mikkelsen, who said the film still feels like a classic Spielberg flick despite having James Mangold in the chair. director.

"It just oozed out of that golden era of 1940s soap operas - and it's in the fifth movie as well," Mikkelsen said. "They go back heavily to the first and second movie and get that original feel, the original Indy, something dense and epic."

Mikkelsen also praised Harrison Ford's fitness and insane work ethic on set, making it clear that the 80-year-old actor is more than capable of carrying the adventure franchise.
