British Library begins restoring online services after hack

The main catalog of the British Library, with over 36 million records, was released online Monday after last year's cyberattack.

This is the first important step in the complete restoration services for those who use the UK's largest library.

But the catalog will only be available in "read-only" format.

< p class="ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10">Its chief executive warned that the full resumption of all services would be a gradual process, but said Monday had been "finally a good quiet day".

The hack on October 31 caused the British Library website to be down for almost a month.

The Rhysida ransomware group claimed to be behind the attack.

And in November, the library confirmed that some data from employees had been disclosed.
