Title "Once Upon a One More Time" (a mouthful, but deliciously whimsical), the musical follows several fairytale princesses, including Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty, who work on a collection of Grimm's Fairy Tales with their bi-monthly Book Club, by Deadline. A rogue fairy godmother hears their wish for new reading material and brings them the feminist classic "The Feminine Mystique", which sparks a "royal revelation".

The show will debut on Broadway in 2023, per Variety. It will begin previews at the Marquis Theater on Broadway before opening night on June 22. Hip-hop choreographers Keone and Mari Madrid will direct the musical, while the cast has yet to be announced.

"Once Upon a One More Time" already has Spears' approval. When the musical was first announced in 2019, the singer said in a statement to Deadline, "I'm so excited to have a musical with my songs - especially one that's set in such a magical world. filled with characters I grew up on, love and adore. It's a dream come true for me!"

Spears is not involved in the musical and the news comes a year after she was released from her 13-year-old conservatorship.
