Cam Newton's Auburn Pro Day WR, Shedrick Jackson, Raves Over QB, "He Still Has It"

At least one person believes in Cam Newton after his Pro Day practice this week...Auburn wideout Shedrick Jackson, who caught QB passes during the sweaty session, tells TMZ Sports he thinks the dude can still go after him in the NFL.

Newton made a surprise appearance at the Tigers showcase on Tuesday...in a bid to revive his professional football career after not playing in the 2022 season.

The 33-year-old threw around 30 passes in front of NFL scouts, some rolling while others were standing in the pocket, and afterward, some on stage seemed to see him as a bit mixed.

But when we spoke to Jackson on Wednesday, he sounded confident that Newton could help an NFL team this season.

"He's done it at a high level in college and in the pros," the Auburn off said, "so I think he still has it."

Jackson - the nephew of NFL legend Bo Jackson - said he was particularly impressed with Newton's touchdown.

As for his own practice at Pro Day - Shedrick hit a ridiculously quick 4.25 40-yard dash and caught a handful of passes...and he tells us he hopes all of it will help land an opportunity in the NFL next season.
