Chad Stahelski shares an update on his Ghost Of Tsushima movie

When Total Film asked Stahelski to verify the status of "Ghost of Tsushima", his response suggested that production was not yet in full effect, and although he wanted to make some his next achievement goal, he hasn't fully decided what to prioritize in his work pile. As Stahelski described it:

"['Ghost of Tsushima'] would be my next favorite. Without going into crazy detail, that's something I'm very interested in. We have a really good script. We have a great one really good creative team behind it all It's just locking in all the business part of things It's kind of in this little flow where everybody's trying to tighten the chord to make it all happen, and to making sure we're doing the best with it. It's a simple thing: get a good script and start putting together a cast. It just takes a lot of moving parts."

For as much negativity as we can read in Stahelski's comments, there's a lot of good news to take away. Doscher's script appears to be moving forward, and it's more casting and resources that need to be sorted out. Stahelski was finally reassuring:

"Obviously, 'Ghost' is a special project. Everyone realizes that. Everyone wants to do it, with the introduction of new technologies and a new way of doing things the epic samurai vibe [...] There's just a lot of stuff to put together before I really pull the trigger to do it, mostly on my side creatively And we're in that process right now, trying to put it all together to knock it out of the park.

To better understand what holds Stahelski's attention, we'll need to research information on "John Wick 5" and "Highlander". The March 2023 issue of Total Film hits newsstands February 2.
