A petrol station currently sells fuel for 15p a liter cheaper on average. It could be the most cost effective place to refuel in the UK.

Drivers feeling the pinch this winter amid sky-high fuel prices and the cost of living crisis may want to head to the Gulf service station in Long Riston, East Yorkshire, which bucks the trend with low loads at the pump.

The petrol station is currently selling unleaded petrol at 139.9 pence per liter and diesel at 159.9 pence per litre.

The rural petrol station has been described as a ‘well-kept secret’ by many of its customers, reports Hull Live, with petrol prices lower than most in the area.

The average price of diesel is 177.75p per litre, according to the RAC.

While this might be a trek for city dwellers who prefer to refuel close to home, the Gulf station on the A165 makes it an ideal refueling stop for day trippers traveling from Humberside to the seaside towns of Bridlington and Scarborough.

The RAC recently complained that supermarkets were refusing to lower their prices at the pump despite lower wholesale prices.
