Roma boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly targeting a return to Chelsea in what will be his third spell at the club, having been frustrated with the Italian side this season. The Portuguese manager moved to Roma after enduring a difficult spell before being sacked at Tottenham, where he coached after leaving Chelsea for the second time.

They claimed that returning to Chelsea for a third time would be Mourinho's ideal scenario, and his representatives contacted the Blues and informed them that he would be interested in the job if a position became available. Graham Potter had a difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge after leaving Brighton mid-season to replace Thomas Tuchel, and the Blues currently languish in tenth place in the Premier League table.
