China faces a new crisis as its crematoriums are overwhelmed by a new wave of Covid.

Restrictions were eased on December 7 after years of an oppressive containment strategy that led to large protests in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-run totalitarian state.

Up to 1.6 million people are feared to be killed as the virus takes hold again.

An employee at a funeral home overwhelmed with the deaths of people said he couldn't "burn them all" because they cremate about 20-30 bodies each day.

Zhao Yongsheng said, "There have been so many deaths. They work day and night, but they can't burn them all.

Zhao estimated they were cremating three or four people a day before Covid restrictions were eased.

Patients are recovering at Baoding No. 2 Central Hospital in Zhuozhou city, north China's Hebei province, on the 31st. China only counts deaths from pneumonia or respiratory failure in its official death toll from COVID-19, a Chinese health official said, in a narrow definition that limits te the number of reported deaths, as a virus outbreak emerges following the easing of pandemic restrictions
