Two climate activists have been arrested in a Swedish museum... after bringing a pile of red paint to a world-famous painting by Monet as part of their protest.
The latest art-related protest took place at the National Museum of Sweden in Stockholm on Wednesday, when 2 members of the Restore Wetlands activist group smeared bright red paint on 'The Artist's Garden in Stockholm. Giverny".

The two also glued their hands to the artwork, although a piece of glass protected it from damage.
The 2 women, speaking in Swedish, shouted that human health was at stake while calling for a ban on peat extraction and the restoration of Swedish wetlands... after a while, security intervened to surround the militants.
They were both reportedly arrested after the stunt, although it's unclear if anything more happened to them.
