Cockney Rebel singer Steve Harley dies aged 73

Steve Harley, the frontman of the British rock group Cockney Rebel , died at the age of 73.

His best-known song was Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me), which reached number one one in the charts in 1975.

< p class="ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10">The musician was still touring until recently, but canceled dates to undergo treatment for cancer.

His family said Harley had “passed away peacefully at home,” adding: “We know he will be desperately missed by people around the world.”
