Conor McGregor calls in armed guards at schools after latest shooting

conor mcgregor

Conor McGregor thinks the Tennessee shooter could have been stopped before anyone was hurt IF the building was better protected...and that's why the UFC superstar thinks armed guards are needed in American schools.

"I would like to see armed protection in every school," McGregor, 34, wrote on social media.

Of course, six people -- three children (aged 9) and three adults -- were shot dead Monday at The Covenant School when a 28-year-old entered the building and engaged in a murderous rampage before the police heroically arrest the shooter, who died instantly.

McGregor, a father of three who spends a lot of time in the United States and is currently in Orlando, says, "I had my kids go to school here while I was in the United States and I had my own armed guard present at the school. That was before the last school shooting too."

Conor continued... "If she had made her way into this school from the outside, my guard, who is hidden, armed and invisible, would have seen her and shot her. Saving her life of these children."< /p>

Many schools have Resource Officers - usually retired cops - stationed at the schools, but not always. There have also been fatal shootings at schools where armed security was present.

The Covenant shooting is simply the latest in a long line of horrific attacks...and has sparked a debate among Americans: How do we protect our children?

There are many different solutions being proposed...from banning guns to arming teachers. Conor thinks the answer is armed guards.
