Coolio: Michelle Pfeiffer and Snoop Dogg pay tribute to rapper Gangsta's Paradise

Stars such as Michelle Pfeiffer and Snoop Dogg have pa yé tr Tribute to American rapper Coolio who died at the age of 59.

He was found unconscious on the floor of the bathroom of the house of a friend in LA, his manager Jarez Posey told US media.

Coolio, whose real name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr, won a Grammy for the 1995 track Gangsta's Paradise, which led the soundtrack to the film Dangerous Minds.

Pfeiffer, who starred in the film, said she had the "broken heart" on the news.

The exact cause of his death on Wednesday has yet to be revealed.

However, Mr. Posey told TMZ, which first reported the news, that paramedics believe he may have had a cardiac arrest.

The director of Coolio in Trinit y Artists International, Sheila Finegan, said they were "saddened...he touched the world with the gift of his talent and will be deeply missed".
