Copenhagen: A shooter carries a gun in a shopping mall

Chilling footage shows the terrifying moment a gunman was seen prowling a Copenhagen shopping center with a gun.

Three people were killed and four others fought for their lives in hospital after a shooting in a shopping center in the Danish capital on Sunday evening.

The attacker was seen prowling Field's Mall armed with a rifle traditionally used for hunting in the Danish countryside.

Video shows a frightened bystander taking cover just 100m away as the shooter nonchalantly carries a weapon through the mall.

At one point, the attacker, who is wearing shorts and a vest, can be seen hoisting the gun over his shoulder as he walks around before fleeing.

Music can be heard playing in the deserted mall in the eerie footage.

During a press conference, police confirmed that the shooter was known to Danish mental health services.

“Our suspect is also known to psychiatric services, beyond that I do not wish to comment,” said Police Chief Soren Thomassen.
