Crystal Palace 2-1 Wolves: Zaha wins goal as Vieira's men fight back at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace fought back from behind to claim all three points with a 2-1 win over Wolves at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night.

Adam Traore opened the scoring around the half-hour as the hosts struggled to create chances early on.

Eberechi Eze, however, changed the momentum by converting Michael Olise's cross to equalize just after the interval.

Wilfried Zaha gave Palace the win, shooting past Jose Sa to seal the three points and his side's second straight home win.

The hosts nearly opened the scoring after four minutes when Cheick Doucoure's effort from 25 yards hit the right post.

Diego Costa pushed into the area but couldn't beat Palace keeper Vicente Guaita, who dove in to ward off any danger the visitors quickly took the lead.

Olise, who scored the opening goal in Palace's latest win at Selhurst Park, curled in a corner where Marc Guehi rose to reach it but nodded.

Palace saw more of the ball in the opening rallies but struggled to find the finishing touch, turning it over in the final third and leveling their opponents on just one shot on target each in the 25th minute.

But it was the visitors who broke the deadlock six minutes later when Hugo Bueno, on his full first-team debut, delivered a fine cross to an unmarked Traore who nodded into the bottom right corner.

A delay ensued after Joel Ward and Daniel Podence collided in the air and the Wolves winger was taken care of by physios but deemed fit to continue, with the incident resulting in the captain du Palais a reservation in the process.

Zaha had a chance to equalize for the frustrated hosts before the break but skimmed his effort, the Eagles granted a small reprieve when Ruben Neves' free-kick in stoppage time bounced off the right post.

The hosts responded within two minutes of regaining the pitch, with Olise's cross at the far post finding Eze who headed an equalizer to score his second goal of the season.

Palace was only centimeters away from moving in front when Olise found Odsonne Edouard in the center of the area, but the Frenchman's bicycle kick sailed just wide of the right post.

Less than three minutes later, Edouard had the ball at his feet again, this time spotting Zaha in the middle of the box. The Eagles striker took full advantage and pushed the hosts in front with a calm finish into the bottom right corner.

Guaita made a fine bouncing save to deny Goncalo Guedes a late equalizer and Nathan Collins was spared the offside flag after a flagrant foul from Guedes' cross.
