Cyberattack Thriller 'The Undeclared War' Trailer Starring Simon Pegg

"What if the other party had already predicted every step you'll take?" Peacock has revealed an official US trailer for a British streaming series titled The Undeclared War< /em>, originally made for Channel 4 in the UK. It previously premiered there in June, but will begin airing on Peacock in the US in August. This British thriller series is about a fictional future (or maybe it's a crystal ball?) in 2024 during the upcoming UK election. A top-notch team of analysts buried deep within GCHQ is secretly working to ward off a foreign cyberattack on the country's electoral system. A young student is "quickly thrust into the center of an escalating data war with Russia that has dangerous implications extending far beyond cyberspace". Scary, right? Starring Hannah Khalique-Brown as Saara, plus Simon Pegg, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Edward Holcroft, Adrian Lester, Alex Jennings, Kerry Godliman and Mark Rylance as John Yeabsley. Sounds like an intriguing thriller, I'm curious to see where it goes with this narrative. Take a look below.

In a post-pandemic era of 2024 as the UK general election approaches, a team of top analysts buried deep within GCHQ are working covertly to ward off a cyberattack on the country's electoral system. Saara Parvan (Hannah Khalique-Brown) is a young college student who gains work experience in the malware department when a security breach leads to a high-stakes first day at the office. She quickly found herself at the center of an escalating data war with Russia that has dangerous implications extending far beyond cyberspace. The Undeclared War is a series created and presented by British filmmaker Peter Kosminsky, from the earlier films Wuthering Heights and White Oleander, as well as television work on 'The Promise', 'Wolf Hall " and "The State" more recently. Kosminsky also directs the episodes. With writings by Declan Lawn, Adam Patterson and Amelia Spencer. Executive produced by Noëlette Buckley, Colin Callender and Kosminsky. It previously premiered in the UK on Channel 4 in June last month. Peacock will launch The Undeclared War for streaming in the United States on NBC's Peacock starting August 18, 2022 this summer.
