Daniel Craig Shimmies in Steamy Vodka Ad directed by Taika Waititi

Daniel Craig prefers his hips to be shaken rather than wiggled.

Craig, the former James Bond star, plays "himself" in a new commercial for Belvedere Vodka, directed by Oscar-winning actress Taika Waititi. Craig flickers, shakes and shows off his jaw-dropping dance moves, (almost) putting Hugh Grant's iconic "Love Actually" dance sequence to shame.

Set at the Hotel Cheval Blanc Paris, the ad begins in black and white before following Craig walking down the hotel lobby and slowly stripping down to a sleeveless t-shirt. Craig moves to Rita Ora and Giggs' song, thrusting his hips at the hotel pool, in an elevator, and finally, in his own hotel room where he effortlessly pops the cork off a Belvedere bottle. .

Waititi, who is also playing a caricature of himself, shouts cut and says to Craig, "Let's go again, just be yourself."

The meta ad features choreography by JaQuel Knight and ends with a blooper showing 'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery' actor Craig cracking jokes alongside Waititi. Of note, "Thor: Love and Thunder" director Waititi and his wife Ora are set to co-host the MTV EMAs on November 13.

Craig's 'Glass Onion' co-star Dave Bautista recently revealed that Craig "didn't seem like the happiest person" playing Bond in "Spectre," which Bautista also starred in. "You could feel he was under a lot of pressure," Bautista said, noting that after Bond, Craig is a whole new man.

"On 'Glass Onion', it was quite the opposite," Bautista said. “He was so much fun, and he was always smiling and happy and interacting a lot more. On "Spectre," there wasn't much interaction with the entire cast. But 'Glass Onion' was quite the opposite. We were always together. So I got to know him better as a person and saw him do his thing."

With Bond, Craig looked back on his 16 years in office, calling his second Bond film "Quantum of Solace" a "shitshow".

"I kinda wish [for] the person I was when I did 'Casino'. Too much knowledge sometimes isn't a good thing," Craig said in 2021. "I was kind of in the dark about a lot of the things, about how things worked, how things worked, how the world really saw Bond – all those things. I just didn't understand them. Then I started to understand them, the weight of it somehow got heavier.

In contrast, Craig added that he's willing to continue playing campy 'Knives Out' sleuth Benoit Blanc "as long as we're having fun and [writer/director] Rian [Johnson] is up for it," sharing , “What a wonderful thing to be able to do. I should be so lucky."
