An entire family has disappeared - including children aged nine, eight and five - with police and their relatives describing it as "totally irrelevant".

Parents Jessie Lee James and Timothy Kratzke have been reported missing in Queensland, Australia.

They were traveling with their three children after leaving home around 11:30 a.m. on October 16, but have had no contact with anyone since.

Officers said: 'Police and family are concerned for their welfare as their behavior is out of character.

It is believed they were driving through the Miriam Valley and the wider Gladstone area in a blue lorry with registration number 416DA4.

Mom Jessie, 37, is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 6 feet tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Dad Timothy is about 5ft 9in, has light brown hair and blue eyes, reports

All three children are described as fair-skinned. The nine-year-old girl has brown hair. The eight-year-old girl has auburn hair and wears rose-colored glasses. The five-year-old boy also has auburn hair.

In another case, a family of four were spotted and rescued in outback Australia after being missing for 48 hours.

On Tuesday, a multi-agency search was launched and a 4x4 was spotted by helicopter, despite the Queensland family failing to return to their destination - the small town of Packsaddle in New South Wales.
