Don Lemon gets one final warning from CNN, one more mistake and he's out

Don Lemon is on thin ice at CNN — although he's back for now, TMZ has learned he's one step away from getting the boot permanently, and he knows it.< /p>

Sources with direct knowledge of Don's situation tell us... when the veteran presenter spoke to senior management this week to discuss his sexist comments and the way forward, he was told that was his last warning about such antics.

02/16/23 CNN

We are told this was communicated to Don in no uncertain terms...the next time he insults his co-hosts or creates a toxic environment (on or off) will be his last with the network.

Of course, we know that Don agreed to these conditions in addition to signing his participation in some form of formal training. The guy is ready to go back to work on Wednesday, so he knows all about it.

It's interesting that Don received this ultimatum, especially since people in his world have told us he's not happy with CNN -- not at all -- so the discomfort is mutual.< /p>

As to why Don got such a short leash -- well, the thing is... he's pretty polarizing. DL has been racking up negative headlines (for one reason or another) over the past few years, and not just because of criticism from right-wingers.
