Donald Trump charged in New York over Stormy Daniels Hush Money case

Donald Trump has been indicted in New York for his alleged involvement in the Stormy Daniels secret money affair - TMZ has confirmed.

The former president was indicted Thursday by a Manhattan grand jury. He will surrender, although we don't know the timing.

The grand jury has heard testimony from a slew of witnesses since January...including former Trump attorney/fixer Michael Cohen, who served time in prison in connection with the case Stormy Daniels. Trump did not appear before the grand jury.

The specific charges have not been announced by Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg, but are expected in the coming days.

Trump is currently in Florida at his Mar-a-Lago estate. Trump will likely fly to New York to surrender. He has called for demonstrations and the city is on high alert. He even said there would be "death and destruction" if charged.

It's quite a while... Trump is the first US president or former president to be slapped with criminal charges.
