Drone footage enters Craco, a former Italian ghost town that appeared in Quantum of Solace

Incredible drone footage goes inside an 8th century Italian GHOST TOWN that appeared in the films Quantum of Solace and The Passion of the Christ, the historic town was hit by a series of landslides that forced its residents to flee Roman Robroek, who captured the video, describes the city as an "incredibly breathtaking and artful sight"

The footage, captured by Dutch photographer Roman Robroek, 34 , shows the city of Craco, which dates back to the 8th century and stands on a 400m high cliff in the province of Matera, southern Italy.

Thanks to its unique appearance, it has been the setting for many series and films, appearing in the Bond classic Quantum of Solace in 2008 and The Passion Of The Christ in 2004, by Mel Gibson.

The drone flies over the city, its cam era pointing to empty buildings and impressive ruins. The images then rotate, showing its breathtaking setting in the Italian countryside.
