Eddie Redmayne will receive the Golden Eye Award at the Zurich Film Festival

Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne will receive a Golden Eye for Professional Achievement at the 18th Annual Zurich Film Festival (Sept. 22-Oct. 2). The British actor will receive the award in person on September 25 before hosting the European premiere of Tobias Lindholm's thriller 'The Good Nurse', in which he plays a nurse who poses a deadly threat to her patients. He will also participate in a ZFF Masters session.

Redmayne is one of the leading actors of his generation. The general public will recognize him as Newt Scamander from the "Fantastic Beasts" fantasy franchise, the arthouse crowd will know him from tougher dramas like "Trial of the Chicago 7." Redmayne won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of paralyzed physicist Stephen Hawking in 'The Theory of Everything' (2014).

Redmayne will be accompanied to the screening of Lindholm's "The Good Nurse".

But after a series of mysterious patient deaths spark an investigation that names Charlie as the prime suspect, Amy is forced to risk her life and the safety of her children to uncover the truth.
