Elon Musk and Twitter lawsuit hits filing delays, Elon may take action

Elon Musk's legal team was ready to grill Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal on Monday, but that never happened, and now EM's team is considering filing a scorn suit against Agrawal .

Sources with direct knowledge of the case tell TMZ...Elon's attorneys flew to the West Coast on Monday to conduct Agrawal's deposition in Twitter's lawsuit against Elon for quitting on his purchase of the company. Sources close to Elon say Parag didn't show up unexpectedly, but the folks on Twitter say that's BS.

Our sources on Twitter say the two sides agreed on Sunday that Monday's deposition would be postponed for personal reasons, and will instead take place later this week.

Now our sources Elon say his legal team could ask the judge to hold Parag in contempt for missing the filing... which, if successful, could have consequences even before the trial, which is due to begin October 17.

Other reports suggest Elon was also supposed to attend a deposition Monday in Delaware, but Elon's attorney, Alex Spiro, told TMZ, "That's a lie." He also insists Parag's deposition was still scheduled to take place on Monday in San Francisco.

Remember this is about Twitter trying to force Elon to buy the company like he said...only to turn the tide when he claimed Twitter wasn't being forthright about spambot data and security issues with the platform.

Elon says the lack of transparency gives him the right to back out of the deal, but Twitter wants to force him to. Despite rumors of a settlement, it looks like this thing is happening...
