Fans take Marseille and Eintracht Frankfurt back to UEFA Disciplinary Tribunal

September 16 - UEFA have charged Marseille and Eintracht Frankfurt with a series of breaches, including a German club fan giving a Nazi salute, following their Champions League group stage clash champions tuesday.

Reigning Europa League champions Frankfurt have been charged with four offences, including 'racist behaviour', after their 1-0 away win.

Earlier, the club released a statement condemning the incidents and stressed that it "stands for tolerance and diversity".

“Anti-Semitic ideas stand in stark contrast to the unequivocal and unwavering values ​​of the club and its roots,” the statement read.

Marseille faces five charges including "crowd disturbance".

Both clubs have already been sanctioned by UEFA for fan misconduct and face escalating penalties for the latest incidents.
