Fast & Furious movie makers fined £800,000 after that a stuntman suffered brain damage during a staged brawl. scene.

Joe Watts also ended up with a broken skull after falling 25 feet (8 m) head first onto the concrete floor.

The incident took place during filming for Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga at Warner Brothers studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire, in July 2019.

A judge said Mr. Watts was "lucky to be alive."

During an acrobatic fight scene on a balcony, his safety line came loose as he was thrown over another performer's shoulder.

FF9 Pictures, a multi-million pound subsidiary of Universal Pictures, was fined health and safety failings at Luton Magistrates' Court on Friday.< /p>
